To carry out works required to repair, maintain and improve the building and facilities in the hotel premises in order to ensure provision of excellent customer service at all times.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Repairs & Maintenance

  • Carry out checks on areas of the hotel building as required.

  • Carry out regular test, fire extinguisher, water pressure and record accordingly.

  • Check for unusual heat, odor, noise and vibrations from running equipment.

  • Responsible for maintenance or replacement of burnt bulbs and other electrical devices, television, remote control, microwave and etc.

  • Report on work accomplished orally and on written work order to Front Office/Supervisor.

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance work as requested by Front Office/Housekeeping/Duty Manager and ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently and with minimum disruption to guests.

  •  Ensure all effort is made to repair faults in the room without delay to avoid any inconvenience to guests.

  • Ensure that daily and weekly cleaning of storeroom and equipment is carried out and records are kept as required.

  • To maintain sufficient level of supplies for the daily maintenance usage.

Customer Service

  • Greet guests professionally in a polite and friendly manner.

  • Provide responsive, helpful, and good quality service to internal customers (colleagues) and external customers.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure familiarization and close adherence of safety rules and procedures.

  • Ensure that all allocated machineries are kept in safe working order.

  • Report all potential accidents and ensure records of accidents are done in the incident record book.

  • Take care of personal health and safety and that of the colleagues and guests.


  • To consistently behave in a manner that reflects the Group’s vision and core values with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • To foster teamwork with others by working with all stakeholders in the Group in a cooperative and friendly manner.

  • To regularly up-skill yourself through daily work experience, self-improvement and structured learning.

SPM / Diploma / Vocasional Certification / Sijil Kemahiran
